Electroplated diamond or cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding tools are made by bonding diamond or CBN particles onto the surface of nickel based tools. This bonding process can be used to manufacture tools of various shapes and specifications, for free cutting and grinding of non-ferrous metals, hardened steel, fiber-reinforced composites (FRP), ceramics, synthetic materials, etc. It can increase cutting volume and improve work efficiency.
